Welcome to WildwoodRadio.org
We are pleased to announce that the messages from the Wildwood SDA Church on the Campus of Wildwood Lifestyle Center and Hospital are now being broadcast live on this web site. This site is currently under development. Come back often to see our added content.
Broadcast times are Friday 7:00 - 8:30 P.M. EST and Sabbath 11:00 A.M. - 12:15 P.M. EST.
Please review the instructions below if this is the first time you are listening to our broadcast.
We use an audio compression technology that allows us to broadcast excellent quality audio at only 28k per second. That means that even dial-up internet users can enjoy nearly CD quality audio. The AAC+ format is used in the XM Satellite radios that are becoming popular.
What software do I need to listen to the AAC+ format?
You will need one of the following installed on your computer. Please read the description of each one before deciding which one would best meet your needs.
Play in browser
This option is recommended because it does not require any external software to be installed on your computer. However, it only works with Internet Explorer. Click on Play in browser and install the ActiveX plug in when prompted. If the stream does not begin playing within 1 minute of installing the ActiveX plug in you should close the ACC+ player window and click on Play in browser again. Note that you will only have to install the ActiveX plug in once.
Winamp
This media player is probably the best choice as it is most compatible with the AAC+ format. However, it will only run on Windows. Download size is about 6 megabytes for the full version (recommended).
Windows Media Player plug in
By installing a plug in for Windows Media Player it can also play the AAC+ format. Click here to visit the download page to install the plug in. After installing the plug in you may tune in here.
VLC Player
The beauty of this player is that it is available for almost any operating system such as Mac, Linux, Windows, Zaurus, PocketPC, etc. If you cannot get the other players to work or you are not using Windows this player is highly recommended. You must associate it with the file extension .pls in order to automatically work.
